Tens of Thousands of Non-SNI Children's Toys Destroyed
The Batam State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) finally completed the extermination process barang Proof toy child without SNI as many as 381.370 pcs, at PT Desa Air Cargo, Nongsa District, Batam City.
"Just last night (Tuesday) at around 21.20 WIB, we completed the process of destroying all the evidence," said Head of the Batam Prosecutor's Proof and Loot Section, Pramono, Wednesday (3/2/2021).
Pramono explained that the process of destroying the evidence took two days, from Monday to Tuesday due to a technical error when calculating the volume or amount of evidence to be destroyed.
Initially, he said, all this evidence would be transported using 14 trucks from Tanjungpinang to Batam. However, due to a miscommunication between the truck drivers, on the first day there were only 6 lorries that arrived in Batam, while the others were still in Tanjungpinang.
“Initial estimates are there are 14 trucks for transportation. However, after coordinating with the driver, it only took 6 trucks. At the time of transportation, the excess goods were forced to add 5 more trucks. That's why the destruction is hampered," explained Pramono.
He emphasized that the initial estimate was that there were 14 trucks. After recalculation, it turned out that only 11 trucks were used to transport all the evidence.
“I say once again, the 14 trucks are only an initial estimate. After the packing was tidied up, the volume shrank so that only 11 trucks were used to transport the goods,” he added.
Still, Pramono said, any evidence of a criminal case that has permanent legal force or commitment must be immediately destroyed so that the evidence is not misused.
This extermination, said Pramono, was carried out by burning or scorching using a friendly incinerator machine environment at PT Desa Air Cargo, Kabil, District Nongsa.
After being scorched, he continued, the residue (ash) from the combustion system was not disposed of carelessly but was sent to PT PPLI in Cileungsi, Bogor, so that the conditions or conditions around the extermination site remained environmentally friendly.
"The evidence that was destroyed today was based on the Batam District Court Decision Number: 6 / Pid.Sus /2020/PN.Btm, March 18, 2020, on behalf of the Convicted Sumimi Alias Mimi Binti Sumiadi," he said.
